A proposed transformation of a Malvern structure in ten new dwellings headlines the latest planning applications to Malvern Hills District Council.

If accepted, the plan, which is one of many submitted to the council between October 16 and October 20, will be to develop the current structure of Summerside on Albert Road North, into seven apartments with an additional extension to provide another three dwellings.

Moreover, Newland's Monksfield Farm is planning to host a renewable energy generation station, a project that integrates solar arrays and battery-based electricity storage containers.

Great Witley had its fair share of activity, with Witley Park Farm applying to erect a stable block for commercial DIY livery, and planning considerations ongoing for an agricultural storage building on land near the Worcester Road.

Witley Court, famous for its gardens and palatial ruins, is also part of this planning wave, proposing to install a temporary structure for a period of up to three years for an art commission.

Along 45 Pound Bank Road, it is proposed to alter the roof shape from a hipped roof to a gabled roof, adding a box dormer to the rear.

Sunrays in Lower Broadheath is planning to create a fixed glazed link between the existing house and garage, and convert the latter's roof space into a first-floor bedroom and en suite.

Permission has been asked for extensive bungalow modifications on Thornfield on Marlbank Road.

Structural alterations have been applied for at 52 Priory Road, where plans are in place to revert two apartments back into one dwelling, including a double garage extension.

68 North Malvern Road also joins with the proposal to legitimise the use of a rear outbuilding as a bedroom annexe to the main house.

11 Longfield in Upton-upon-Severn has proposed a single storey rear extension to the kitchen and dining area of the property.

Commercial alterations have also been applied for, with Parson Halls Farm in Tenbury Wells asking permission to change use and convert an agricultural storage building into an events venue for civil ceremonies and weddings.

The Royal British Legion on Coverfield in Worcester has proposed its demolition, with plans to erect a detached property in its place.
