STAFF of Upton's Co-operative store were threatened by four balaclava-clad robbers.

The men broke into the back of the store and told four staff members to lie on the floor.

They stole cash and cigarettes from the store, before taking the mobile phones from the staff members and making off in a white van.

They are described as black or Asian males, aged 21 to 27 years old and wearing balaclavas.

One was 6ft tall and of slim build. He was wearing baggy jeans and a blue T-shirt with fish scale patter and a black hoodie with the hood up.

Police confirmed it happened on Wednesday, January 27 at 11.15pm at the Old Street store.

No-one was injured during the incident and no weapons were seen.
