A woman suffering with sight problems raised more than £200 for Malvern Talking Newspaper- a service which helps her keep up to date with the town's news.
Eileen Sandford decided she wanted to help the charity organising the talking newspaper- Malvern Sign Concern- and hosted a coffee morning at Eastnor Cricket Club to raise funds for it.
The event raised £260.
Mrs Sandford said: "I had never heard of it before and I was totally over the moon when I found out - really tickled pink.
"I just want to give something back."
The money will be spent on providing new equipment to provide the service.
It allows people suffering with sight problems to listen to the Malvern Gazette, and has been established for around 20 years.
Anne Dicks, a volunteer who received the cheque on behalf of Talking Newspaper, said: "This is a wonderful gesture, and shows what a worthwhile enterprise the Talking Newspaper is."
