A Malvern law firm presented a cheque for more than £700 to Acorns Children's Hospice, by offering wills in exchange for donations.

Wills & Legal Services Ltd raised £718.33 through its National Charity Wills Scheme, which saw its team write up wills free of charge in exchange for charitable donations.

Hannah Evans, marketing supervisor at the Worcester Road firm, said: "We are delighted that Acorns Children’s Hospice have agreed to take part in this scheme, which has a double benefit of helping people who may not otherwise feel that they can afford to make a will, and supporting a very worthwhile cause."

The hospice supports life limited, life threatened children and their families across the Midlands.

The charity is currently supporting around 760 children and over 980 families.

Wills & Legal Services will continue to support the charity in October, when it takes part in October's Make A Will Month.

Sarah Walmsley, of Acorns, said: "We are excited to be working with Wills & Legal Services and hope that through the scheme, we can raise funds and awareness to continue to support the work we do and to enable us to help the children and families who rely on our services."
