COLLECTABLES will be valued free of charge at a special event in Malvern.

Auctioneers Warwick and Warwick are visiting the town on Thursday, January 22, from 10am to 2pm at the Abbey Hotel, Abbey Road.

The firm specialises in coins, banknotes, stamps, medals, militaria, postcards, cigarette cards, die cast toys and model railways and members of the public are invited to pop along for a free valuation and advice on selling their collectables.

Alan Smith, of Warwick and Warwick, said: “We have been to this area many times before and have always been delighted with the response.

“Many people do not realise that they have possessions of value, especially postcard collections.

“Black and white, real photographic views are well collected and very popular at auction.

“Military medals and militaria are also often more valuable than people imagine, always attracting strong bids on sale days. Coin collections are also fetching high prices at present."

The company may also be able to carry out home visits if a collection is particularly large or difficult to transport.
